Orchard in Etsdorf am Kamp
We are involved with establishing a new sustainably-run orchard in Etsdorf am Kamp in Lower Austria. This project brings together our passion for quality cider with a commitment to biodiversity and sustainable growing practices. The orchard will be managed with minimal intervention, allowing nature to create habitats for insects, birds and other animals.Â

We are planning to plant a diverse selection of pome fruit trees alongside other plants that promote biodiversity. In the initial year of creating the orchard, 2025, we planted eight trees and about twenty different native hedgerow plants from the Lower Austrian Heckentag. The companion plantings will create a thriving ecosystem that supports local wildlife, pollinators, and enhances soil health. In a few years’ time, the fruit from the trees will be used to make craft cider that truly reflects the character of the region.
